TC4 : Tungsten Wire

Application - Pure tungsten wire is drawn to finished size and is available as straight lengths in 0.001” diameter increments from 0.003" to 0.060". Due to its strength, high density and high melting point. Pure tungsten electrodes are more resistant to electrode wear than any other electrode material. Tungsten wire is one of the cheapest and the most widely used material for fine hold drilling in exotic materials. Tungsten electrodes do not break down as rapidly as brass or copper and they erode slower. Its straightness means it can be handled and loaded into jigs on the machine without deformation. Good flushing is essential when using tungsten wires.
